Tammy Parnell has been in the lumber business her entire life.
Tammy has been married eighteen years to Jeff Parnell. They have two daughters: Brooke, 16, and Taylor, 10. The girls are Tammy and Jeff's main focus in life.

Greg Guthrie has been in lumber and construction products his whole life. Greg serves as Vice President of Marketing, and his current responsibilities are the sales and distribution for Geodeck.

Purchasing/Sales and Shipping
Gary is beginning his 19th year with the Guthrie family. During his career he has held almost every position in the company.
" I'm just part of a family, and I do whatever it takes to keep the operation of this company running smoothly."

Gary handles many of the transportation issues as well as direct sales.

Mike Beyer has been with Guthrie for the past three years. Like so many of the Guthrie team he has been actively involved in the lumber business his entire working life. Mike began working for Calcasieu in 1973. After 11 years, he accepted a position with Furrows where he focused on lumber sales and operations until joining Guthrie.

" I truly enjoy the lumber industry, this is an exciting business."

Mike has been married ten years, and he enjoys gardening and horseback riding.

Fred continues to actively work with many of the company's key customers. He also helps arrange inbound lumber deliveries.
" Working to get the lumber and other construction products delivered timely is even more than I thought. We strive to ship quickly."

Fred has 36 years experience in the lumber industry, having worked in areas of retail sales, purchasing, and wholesale lumber distribution. He has been with Guthrie for five years and enjoys the challenges of the lumber business.

Guthrie is extremely pleased that Russell Slaughter has joined the company for he brings 15 years of practical experience in all phases of the business. Russell began his career with Calcasieu as a truck driver and in time he was promoted to dispatcher. Later he worked first in inside sales and later in outside sales. His exemplary performance was recognized and he became the manager for the Calcasieu Wholesale Division. He then accepted a position with Buttery Hardware and assisted Buttery in opening a wholesale lumber distribution operation to augment their agricultural business. Russell is the director responsible for HardiPllank sales and he continues to support some of his lumber customers as well.

Russell has two sons ages 11 and 15, and his family comes first. He continues to coach Little League baseball and his sons are excellent athletes. "Watching children develop their confidence is truly a gift I receive as their coach."
